Overview
PMR
staff can assist private and public sector facility owners with protecting their critical infrastructure and key resources
by performing comprehensive risk assessments tailored to their specific industry sectors.
We can assist organizations with implementing the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security’s comprehensive strategic plan to protect our nation's Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources
(CIKR) and to strengthen national preparedness. The goal of this strategy is
to build a safer, more secure, and more resilient America by preventing, deterring, neutralizing,
or mitigating the effects of deliberate efforts by terrorists to destroy, incapacitate, or exploit elements of CIKR. PMR experts can help facility owners with identifying and implementing protective
actions and programs to reduce identified vulnerabilities.
Threat and vulnerability assessments
Threat and vulnerability assessments are designed to provide a risk-based analysis of critical
infrastructure and key assets. Our assessors use a systematic methodology to examine physical security systems, threats
to certain facilities or industries and organizational policies, procedures and training protocols.
Our assessment teams provide a systematic,
common sense process to assess site vulnerability, threats and all hazards. It
serves as a set of best practices used to assess facilities in a post 9/11 environment.
Using standard methodologies to assess risk provides a more consistent vulnerability and threat assessment across jurisdictions
and first responder disciplines and will assist public officials with managing risk within their jurisdictions.
This program combines state of the art
threat and vulnerability assessment methods such as CARVER2, Sandia Labs RAM-C, the Department of Homeland Security’s
Buffer Zone Protection Program and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
